Some of the World’s Best at Hermes Festival des Métiers

I still have some wonderful images taken from Hermes Singapore’s Festival des Metiérs event and I want to complete this lovely Hermes post by sharing the rest with you. After all it’s not often you find some of the world’s best artisans at work for all to see, a peek into the world of Hermes if you will.

The job of the Dessinateur (or the Engraver) for silk scarves/ ties…

Wonderful silk ties, hand- sewn.

Horloger (WatchMaker)

Sertisseur (Gem setter) set the diamonds on each “pyramid” for the bejeweled collier de chien bracelet in 18k gold.

Peintre sur Porcelaine  (porcelain painter). Each of these Bone China plates are from Limoges. Handpainted!

The back of a saddle, handmade by the maroquinerie saddle maker.

Hermes truly lives up to its reputation of being one of the finest luxury brands in the world…

I espied a pretty H evelyne in kiwi epsom on a lady at the grocery. It’s purdy!!! 😀
